Ghosts of Jerusalem

When photographing Jerusalem, my goal was to cut through form and familiarity in attempt to capture the city's essence— to reveal the hidden world that lies just beneath. Many times I was surprised to discover what appeared in the final image, as unusual details and ethereal elements came unexpectedly alive.

The photographic effects seen in this series are the result of a technique involving a series of physical camera movements and in-camera settings, developed and refined over the past year.
